2.3 : Monsal Trail

Up Station Road, you are greeted by a rowan tree and the striking brightness of the dogwoods and their coloured twigs at the entrance. Along the trail there are graceful poplars, a white birch with amazing 'eye' patterns on its trunk, all accompanied by the joy of bird song.

The sound of pheasants echoes across the hillside as you descend down through a small wood, at the bottom a tall stand of poplars faces you.
